Send email entries to superbadfriend@gmail.com (re: ART GIVEAWAY CONTEST)
Winner will be announced July 1st, which means entries have to be in by midnight, June 30th. The paintings are going to be professionally shot next weekend. There are over 60 total in the series. And, they will be extra pretty and detailed after photographer, Emily Hindin, is through with them – not like the ones above taken with my cell phone.
The selected images are part of a series of paintings called, Melancholia. The winner will receive an archival Giclée print. That's fancy for a high quality, kick-ass print.

Pandaemonium.
ReplyDelete+1 for Missing!
ReplyDelete(you know my info...)
I vote "Breaking Point"
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for Missing, too!
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for "Breaking Point." I love the empty space and the hidden imagery forcing you to look deeper!
ReplyDeletehmm, that's a tough one.
ReplyDeleteI like breaking point with the white plus sign in the middle, pandaemonium for the color combos, and the last one for the splash of red.
I guess what i am saying is that I like all of them!
ha ha!
good luck with your contest!
and I am poking you back! ;)
XOXO
Missing! I like all three of them, but missing has the most detail to scour over. I also checked out the rest of your page. You have lots of impressive talent, Jess!
ReplyDeleteoops, I confused the two paintings,
ReplyDeletebut you know what I mean.
i can't help myself, i misplaced my brain today
:)
We have to pick?! Sigh.
ReplyDeleteEach one is so cool in its own unique way.
i have to vote for missing! LUFF THAT ONE! all are equally great, but i guess you have to go with the painting whose textures will translate best in 2D
ReplyDeleteBREAKING POINT!!
ReplyDelete"Missing"
ReplyDeletexoxo Hope you're well!

ReplyDeleteWow......you were in such a dark place, Jessie...LOVE them all....so much emotion in your work.
ReplyDeleteBut, if I have to vote my favorite (for what it's worth) my vote is for Pandaemonium...
-Josh
love Quiet room, I'm changing my choice now. But still love Missing too.
ReplyDeleteJoshy! So lovely to see you here. Of course, the paintings have different meaning to everyone and I'm glad you liked Pandaemonium. It was one of the first to be painted in this series.
ReplyDeleteThat's great Marns! Thank you. You can vote as often as you'd like. :)
ReplyDeleteWish you were here. We are going to get brekkies at the most adorable place uptown. (HUGS)
Can I vote more than once?
ReplyDelete;)
Or is that not allowed?
Since we are Chicagoans, can I vote over and over again?
ReplyDeleteYour Pal,
Linda
Of course, Linda! Yes. Please do. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be drawing the names. That will Increase your chances.
Abyss
ReplyDeleteMissing.

ReplyDeleteBreaking Point :)
ReplyDeleteI vote for Pandaemonium again!!
ReplyDeleteAbyss
ReplyDeleteAnd Quiet Room. I love it's whimsy.
ReplyDeleteOoh, "Abyss" is new. Please make "Abyss" my new vote for favorite piece.
ReplyDeleteWell obviously.... I mean OBVIOUSLY.... the work you 'do' is stellar, Jessie.... therefore making it next to impossible to pick a fav. But a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do... so I choose "Missing."
ReplyDeleteI know your work will be captured in perfection by the photographer and be even more amazing (if that's possible).
And, speaking of "Amazing" Linda Crispell is QUITE the Amazing Friend and supporter to have on your 'team' isn't she? What a SWELL PAL, Linda is!
Be well and congratulations on all of your creations!
xoxo
Karen
Pandaemonium. It's a transcription of my emotional state at current. Beautiful piece. Dark, but beautiful.

ReplyDeleteHi Louise, so nice to see you here. :)
ReplyDeleteJenn!!! Thanks for stopping by. I do enjoy your work and Noddle & Lou blog. Ah, your characters are so cute. :) xo
ReplyDeletePandaemonium is gorgeous so I'll vote for that one.

JTerry, Madley and William. Hello! Thank you so much for visiting and voting. :)
ReplyDeleteAdrian. :)
ReplyDeleteAMY - Pandaemonium and Abyss
ReplyDelete:)
Very cool! I love them all!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rebecca! :)
ReplyDeleteBreaking Point and Missing are wonderful, but if I had to choose I would pick Breaking Point as my favorite. I see so many things in this one...all the things that might bring you to a breaking point, and then there is an almost silent nothingness there too. I could go on in my wannabe art critic sort of way, but mainly I want to say that I really just like Breaking Point a lot!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
Oooh Jess! Your work is ethereal in it's quality and beauty. It always makes me feel as if I'm looking into a dream. How CAN I choose from such a fabulous collection? But if I must....
ReplyDeleteAbyss -
It reminds me of the effervescence of champagne and the 'happy' of daisies. :-D
Loves ya darlin'
xo
Trixi
Oh, wow.
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss The Forgotten.
It's amazing.
(If I win, I promise to blog my ass off about how gorgeous it is and how grateful I am to own it. Will any of this improve my chances of winning?)
:o)
Seriously, SBF, such nice work. Love it & thanks for sharing.
